Baguley Athletic announce new first team coach
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jamie Kay as our new first-team coach at Baguley Athletic FC. With a distinguished playing career that includes spells at Liverpool, Stockport County, Stalybridge Celtic, Woodley Sports, Curzon Ashton, and Glossop North End—where he appeared in the 2009 FA Vase Final at the new Wembley Stadium—Jamie brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our club.

Jamie Kay shared his thoughts on joining the club: "After my playing career, I took over at Whaley Bridge as a player and then as a manager, succeeding two great blokes, Daz and Brog. Under my leadership, the team topped the league and reached the Derbyshire Cup Final until COVID-19 halted everything. Managing Stockport Town and New Mills under-18s gave me the opportunity to coach at several reputable non-league teams and work with some very good people."
Jamie is now eager to bring his knowledge and leadership to Baguley Athletic FC. "The club's three promotions and the future plans set by our chairman presented an opportunity I couldn't turn down. I am excited to collaborate with Kyle, Lee, and Joel, believing we will bounce off each other's ideas effectively."

Kyle and Lee expressed their excitement about the new appointment: "We are thrilled to get Jamie Kay in as head coach. He brings a wealth of experience and all the attributes needed to help improve the squad. Jamie has an excellent playing career and will most definitely offer support to our squad not only on the pitch but off it as well."

Pre-season is just around the corner, and Jamie can't wait to get started with the lads. He has said "I am committed to ensuring that our team will be the fittest in the league, nurturing a close-knit group that plays to win and continues the club's progression."
To all the local supporters of Baguley Athletic FC, we invite you to come along and watch the boys during pre-season and get behind a great club and a chairman who is dedicated to giving back to the community.
Our new coach is excited to be part of this journey and can't wait to get going.
We look forward to seeing you all soon!
