Baguley Athletic is run in its entirety by volunteers, with all coaches, support staff and committee members donating their time freely, over and above the commitments of daily life. The enthusiasm and dedication of our volunteers has been the cornerstone to the development of Baguley Athletic since its formation, but as the club develops further, our need for additional volunteers grows – and that’s where you come in..
You may already know someone playing for the club, or you may be a complete newcomer to Athletic. Your time commitment may be as little as a few hours a week, or subject to working shifts – either way you can still contribute to the clubs development. You may have a football background, or have other skills ideal for fulfilling support roles such as treasurer, team administrator etc, or perhaps you would wish to be part of our marketing, club development or fund -raising teams. Whatever your skill, we would be grateful for your help.
head of club development > the head of club development will take the lead on establishing new teams in unique footballing areas, such as disability football, walking football, futsal etc.
head of men's football > the head of men's football will be the main contact between each of our open age teams and the management committee - should any problems arise at team management level, you will be their first point of contact, you will also be tasked with establishing further men's football at the club (under 18, under 21, reserves, over 45).
head of female football > the head of female football will look to establish adult female football at baguley athletic - you will become the main contact between these teams and the management committee.
head of youth (13-17) football > the head of youth football will work closely with our youth coaches and the heads of junior/infant football to establish new teams and recruit where necessary - you are the main contact for each team manager at grassroots level.
head of junior (9-12) football > the head of junior football will work closely with our youth coaches and the heads of youth/infant football to establish new new teams and recruit where necessary - you are the main contact for each team manager at grassroots level.
head of infant (2-8) football > the head of infant football will work closely with our youth coaches and the heads of youth/junior football to establish new new teams and recruit where necessary - you are the main contact for each team manager at grassroots level.
academy director > the academy director will run all aspects of the Little Kix and MTwo3 Academy programmes - you will the key contact for the coaches.
marketing manager > managing all marketing and sponsorship for baguley athletic and coordinating marketing campaigns.
event planning manager > the event planning manager will produce events from conception through to completion.
funding manager > to search for and complete any funding applications that may benefit the club or its ongoing ideas/growth.
community liaison > the community liaison will look to raise the profile of the club within the local community and will attend local events on behalf of the club.
kit manager > the kit manager must ensure all kit is clean and prepped for any upcoming matches - you will also be tasked with ordering any new kit where applicable.
physio/sports therapy > as a physio/sports therapist, you'll work with our players to help prevent injuries, recognise, manage and treat them should they occur, and then rehabilitate the participant back to full fitness.
media manager > the media manager's role is to take match day images / video of the players in action. **must provide own equipment**
website manager > the role of the website manager is to have sole responsibility for the club websites technical functionality and code or content updates.
social media manager > manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: develop relevant content topics to reach the our target audience. create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written). monitor, listen and respond to users in a “social” way.
ebrochure / newsletter editor > to create from scratch a newsletter / eProgramme for the community of wythenshawe to learn more about the goings on within our club.
match reporter > your role will be to write in depth match reports on baguley athletic matches
