committee roles

HEAD OF PARTNERSHIPS

As Head of Partnerships, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships amongst like-minded partners while also developing strategies to increase revenue for their organisation as well as ours.  You will also have knowledge and experience of end-to-end negotiations and use a consultative approach in your conduct/manner.

  • Identify and source partnership opportunities through our social media platforms, personal recommendations and your own networks

  • Research partners, identify key players and generate interest

  • Negotiate and finalise partnerships in accordance with club’s guidelines and policies

  • Take a lead role in negotiating terms offered to the club and length of agreements

  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management

  • Deliver a great experience to our partners when working with our organisation - you will represent our brand and be our partners’ liaison internally

  • Keep a great ongoing relationship with current partners and offer new ways to grow the partnership(s)

  • Be a self-starter and use own initiative.

  • Liaise with the County FA as and when required to identify potential strategic partnerships/networking opportunities for the club

  • Take advantage of networking opportunities that are relevant to the club’s community outreach, engagement objectives and participation provisions

  • Attend club committee meetings when required to update on progress made

  • Work closely with the Senior Management Committee, Finance and Admin departments to allocate partnerships to relevant club provision.

coaching roles

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

The Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for providing programming and coaching that includes but not limited to motivation, education and guidance on proper nutrition,  conditioning, resistance training, mobility, and recovery to help athletes develop to the best of their ability. You will be responsible for providing players appropriate warm up and cool down exercises and stretches.

  • Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs in-season, off-season, and preseason for all sanctioned male and female athletic programs in a manner that reflects research driven practices and our club’s Long-Term Athletic/Fitness Development Model.

  • Work in cooperation with the physiotherapy team/medical staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured athletes.

  • Facilitate a collaborative relationship among sport coaches, Medical staff, players and the strength and conditioning staff.

  • Design and implement policies and procedures for the strength and conditioning program in accordance with club and association guidelines.

  • Develop systems for tracking athlete attendance and athlete progress in conjunction with the sport coaches.

  • Maintains a personal health and fitness lifestyle consistent with clubs’ guidelines.

  • Conduct an annual needs-analysis for each sport team in conjunction with the sport coach, Head of Medical and Head of Football Operations at the conclusion of each sport season.

  • Successfully completes training, CPD and extra courses as required to maintain qualification and license

EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION COACH (2 - 7)

The EYFC will be responsible for the delivery of structured fundamental sports sessions, for a wide and diverse audience to the participants of our Little Kix programme. You will also liaise closely with our Head of Football Operations & Academy Development and work in accordance to the Baguley Athletic Participant Development Framework.  You will take direct  responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the Little Kix is delivered to the highest standard possible.

  • Use a variety of coaching techniques to match appropriate content and structure, presenting a set of key ideas utilising appropriate vocabulary.

  • Ensure participants acquire and consolidate knowledge skills. Encouraging participants to think and talk about their learning, develop self-confidence, concentrate and persevere and

  • listen attentively.

  • Deliver Little Kix activities to a high standard.

  • Ensure learning objectives have been achieved and used to improve specific aspects of delivery.

  • The Early Years Foundation Coach should make a valuable contribution to Baguley Athletics’ future development of the Little Kix programme, to the planning process and the further 

  • development of all participants.

  • Follow the vision, ethos, and policies of Baguley Athletic FC, promoting high levels of achievement in the Little Kix Programme

  • Continual evaluation of delivery techniques to improve effectiveness and personal development via CPD courses

  • Manage behaviour of the group, in accordance with Baguley Athletics’ policies and procedures

  • Set tasks which challenge participants and ensure high levels of interest, identify strategies to manage differentiation, providing clear structures, maintaining pace, motivation, and challenge.

  • Use effective questioning, listen carefully to participants

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection; health and safety; confidentiality; and data protection. Report all concerns to an appropriate person

  • within Baguley Athletic FC and/or Little Kix Programme leaders

PITCHSIDE SUPPORT OFFICER (PHYSIO, SPORTS THERAPIST, SPORTS REHABILITATION)

You will be responsible for delivering medical support to our football teams. This will be in the capacity of pitch-side support on both match days and training sessions. You will also be required to

advise on injury prevention and recovery methods to players as well as giving advice on how long an injury may last. You will also liaise closely with our Senior Club Committee, Head of Football Operations and Head of Medical Departments, respectively

FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (MALE)

As Male Football Development Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete male footballing pathway from academy level through to the First Team and Vets. This will include Foundation Stage, Youth Development phase and  Professional/Competition phase. You will also explore growth opportunities for provisions at Baguley Athletic FC to further enhance the players and coach’s all-round development/journey.

  • Oversee teams/managers/coaches within your designated pathway to ensure the club’s player pathway is observed

  • Manage, develop and support team managers/coaches/volunteers involved in coaching

  • sessions

  • Play an active role in player recruitment and retention.

  • Liaise with team managers/coaches to identify personnel gaps in teams and work together to provide solutions

  • Be competent is using various recruitment strategies successfully (online and utilising own networks)

  • Provide feedback to staff in relation to personal development/CPDs/training courses and report back to Head of Football Operations to arrange.

  • Liaise with coaches to discuss and present opportunities for players as well as placing them into teams based on their ability and performance reviews.

  • Liaise with CFA regarding networking/training events to further assist with your role, and cascade to relevant managers/coaches/teams

  • Work closely with players and staff, and present relevant exit routes across the pathway (i.e. presenting other provisions and/or recommend upskilling)

  • Maintain personal CPD and training and keep up to date

  • Have a contributing role in strategic development to support the growth of the club

  • Be the coaches/managers first point of contact

  • Delegate enquiries to relevant departments in required.

  • Assist coaches/managers with ad-hoc administrative duties if needed (i.e. competition and referees)

  • Liaise with league officials/secretaries BAFC teams compete in and cascade

  • managers/coaches with relevant information

  • Maintain all health and safety protocols and guidelines for players and staff across venues

  • Familiarise self with club policies and procedures

  • Attend club meetings where possible and/or provide updates to report progress of pathway.
