We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team – please join us in welcoming our new Assistant Manager, Joel Walmsley!

Current managers Kyle and Lee Hendley have said that they are ecstatic to get the deal over the line. Joel has shown real enthusiasm for the vacancy and brought a tremendous energy to the face-to-face meetings. Joel ticked a lot of the boxes we were initially looking for, and we're really happy to add him to our backroom team.

The appointment of Joel will also open up the door for new signings who have previously worked with him. With a good record over the last 2 years in Sunday football winning 4 trophies in 2 years, we're confident that he will be a fantastic asset to our club.

Joel has said that as soon as he saw the job vacancy was available, he was keen to apply. After speaking with Kyle and Lee on several calls, they met up for a final chat. Joel said, "I left that meeting and couldn’t believe the passion and drive they both had towards helping grow this club. Their personalities and professionalism stood out, and they made me feel so welcome. I could tell they were genuinely interested in my ideas and plans for what I could bring to the club.  Over the past two years, I have been managing a Sunday team where we secured four trophies, demonstrating our strong performance and teamwork. This success led me to take my first step into Saturday football with Winslow Albion. While I loved my time there and learned a lot, I feel that moving to Baguley Athletic is a significant forward step in my football career. I’m excited to bring my ideas and enthusiasm to the team and can’t wait to test myself in the competitive environment of the Manchester Premier League”
